While our business began in 1977 around our knowledge of trimless/flashless rubber molds, we have grown our capabilities to include multiple areas of expertise.  We offer many capabilities to our customer base - from part design through manufacturing.  We can assume complete design and performance responsibility or build to your tooling specifications using your drawings.

Mid-States Tool & Machine focuses primarily on high-precision molded parts, including overmolded components.  the technologies we employ in designing tooling for molding these parts may include:

Engineering

Every successful project begins with a good design.  The design must focus on meeting both the manufacturing requirements and the cost requirements of a project.  We excel at working with our customers to achieve both of these objectives.  We utilize leading 2D & 3D design technologies for the development of mold design data and toolpath generation. 

Manufacturing

Our capabilities cover all aspects of manufacturing as it relates to the moldmaking industry.  Our equipment list includes CNC Turning Centers, CNC Machining Centers, CNC Grinding Machines, Laser Machining, Gundrilling, Blanchard & Surface Grinding capabilities.  We strive to constantly review and upgrade our capabilities and equipment.  We maintain a preventive maintenance program which ensures that equipment downtime does not cause unplanned delays in our delivery schedule.

Delivery

Every delivery date is an important date, and we know the importance of delivering on time.  We strive to be a lead-time leader in our industry.   We know that often times the business is won by being the first molder to put parts in the hands of the customer.

We have the capability of offering pickup and delivery services with our own fleet of vehicles.  Often times this is not needed, but it can be a valuable service when an unexpected crash or maintenance issue requires that tooling transportation be expedited.
